After great success at last year’s special Charity Gala, we are delighted to announce that we have another sparkling event in the pipeline!

Organised by Peter Egan, star of British film, theatre and TV, whose roles have included CHARIOTS OF FIRE, DOWNTON ABBEY and GRANTCHESTER, the event on Sunday 14th May 2017 will raise funds for charity Animals Asia.

A dedicated animal rights activist and Animals Asia’s UK Ambassador, Peter is thrilled that his great friend, the legendary performer Rick Wakeman has agreed to host this event alongside a special guest, to be announced soon.

Richard Christopher “Rick” Wakeman is an English keyboardist, songwriter, TV and radio presenter, author, actor and the iconic @GrumpyOldRick.  Last year he helped us raise a tremendous £18,000 for Animals Asia and we hope to raise even more this year!

Animals Asia promotes compassion and respect for all animals, working to end the barbaric bear bile trade in China and Vietnam, rescuing over 500 bears so far and caring for them at their award-winning sanctuaries.  They also work to end the trade in dogs and cats for food in Asia and campaign for an end to abusive animal practices in zoos and safaris.
