Caught In The Net

A Comedy
by Ray Cooney

CAUGHT IN THE NET is the sequel to Ray Cooney's whopping hit RUN FOR YOUR WIFE and, as one West End critic said, it is even funnier than its predecessor. The hero is John Smith, a bigamist taxi driver, with one wife in Wimbledon and another in Streatham. He manages to find the energy to keep both his families happy and blissfully unaware of each other. However, his teenage children - one girl and one boy by each wife - have met on the internet and are determined to meet in person, especially as it transpires that they have so much in common - same surname, taxi-driver and dad of the same age, etc! This is where the action goes into overdrive as John Smith has to do everything in his power to stop the two youngsters from meeting. The result is a superbly constructed comedy that will keep you cackling and chortling in your seats as it rampages toward the final hilarious denouement.

"It's sheer joy from beginning to end" Daily Telegraph
