of Provence. Sharing his home and his life is young and trusting
Suzy. Soon their peaceful idyll will be crushed. Suzy finds

danger?
The arrival of Ross, a Scotland Yard detective,
sets wheels into motion that don't stop turning and twisting
until a terrible murder is committed.
Brian Clemens, creator of such celebrated

GILES
WATLING (Ross) Giles has been professionally involved in
entertainment for over 40 years. He started as a child actor
in the ‘Morse’ of it’s time GIDEON’S WAY with John Gregson.
Those with elephantine memories may remember he played Malcolm
Gideon. Since those early days he has worked in a wide variety
of media as a producer, director and actor. He is probably best
known to the public for his performances in many sitcoms but
particularly for spending five years being the cringing Oswald
the vicar in Carla Lane’s BREAD. His TV Drama credits go from
2nd Lieutenant James Marriot in UPSTAIRS DOWNSTAIRS in the mists
of history and nasty Mr Radcliffe in GRANGE HILL to THE TUTANKHAMUN
CONSPIRACY. Set in Egypt, he played Howard Carter as presenter
and was a co-writer. He recently co-produced CHILLSEEKERS, an
off-the-wall spooky documentary for C5. Up until the beginning
of this century he might have been described as a leading man
of the British Theatre with numerous credits – generally as
a ‘juvenile’. Utterly ridiculous! He is happy to report that
in the last few years the business has at last let him grow
up a little along with his greying hair. He now gets to play
middle-aged parts like Henry Higgins in PYGMALION at the English
Speaking Theatre in Vienna and national tours playing the likes
of Frank in a of EDUCATING RITA and Richard Willey in OUT OF
ORDER and Robert in DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER. Last year had him
working his socks off in the newly discovered Camoletti comedy
JUST DESSERTS not only did he co-direct and play the lead. He
found himself doing rewrites along the way. He is fresh from
panto in Worthing where he was DAME DOTTY. His second panto
and his second Dame. His twin thirteen-year-old daughters are
just getting over the trauma of seeing their father prancing
around in a frock with a Jordanesque chest. His previous visits
to Sonning visits saw him playing George in WHY NOT STARY FOR
BREAKFAST?, Clive in ALL FOR MARY and David in BUILDING BLOCKS.
He is delighted to be back and feels he must have done something
right last time. He sails, plays chess poorly and lives by the
sea with his long-suffering wife and daughters, who are either
making him old or keeping him young … he’s just not sure which.
