A
comedy by JAN ETHERINGTON & GAVIN PETRIE
When
a Hollywood film company chooses a small village in the Highlands
of Scotland as its location, the star - hunky heartthrob Jordan
Power, books into the local hotel and sets out to seduce the
female population. And the wee young lassies are not exactly
averse to his charms. There's pretty, giggling Lily, a chambermaid;
there's his glamorous but sometimes sozzled co-star, Constance;
as well as his pleasure-loving girlfriend, Nina. But Jordan
only has eyes for another chambermaid, the beautiful and enigmatic
Alice. However, Alice isn't a fan and refuses to be just another
notch on his belt. Only after a series of hilarious incidents
do we learn if the cliché 'True love conquers all' applies
to Jordan and Alice.
The Mill is delighted to present the World
Premiere of this laugh-filled comedy by famous husband and wife
writing team Jan Etherington and Gavin Petrie, authors of many
successful television series including NEXT OF KIN, starring
Penelope Keith and William Gaunt; FAITH IN THE FUTURE (best
ITV Comedy of the Year) and DUCK PATROL starring Richard Wilson.

MARCUS
GILBERT (Jordan Power) Born of English/Russian ancestry, Marcus
has been lucky to work extensively in Film and Television both
here and in America. Early T.V included the series "Mr Palfrey
of Westminster" "Blood Royal" "Doctor Who" followed by the American
mini-series " Last Days of Pompei" & "Master of the Game" His
first film in 1987 was playing idealistic but dim witted Captain
Ben Avery in George Macdonald Frazer's "Pyrates" then on to the
trenches to play the anti- hero in Biggles, quickly followed by
four months by the Dead Sea trying to interpret just what it was
that Sly Stallone was trying to tell him in Rambo 111 From there
back to England and in to breeches to play" Lord Justin Vulcan"
&" Lord Robert Stanford" in "A Hazard Of Hearts" & "A Ghost in
Monte Carlo" respectively. Once called the perfect man by Barbara
Cartland, he then went on to disprove that by playing Rupert Cambell
Black in Jilly Coopers "Riders" - a success for the network but
less enjoyable for Marcus who was so frightened by his performance,
that he gladly took up the American NBC offer to make the crime
caper "Strange Bedfellows". The next four years were spent in
the States, where he particularly enjoyed making the 70 mm film
epic "Legacy" playing the humble stonemason turned hero "David
Williams" for Academy Award winning director Keith Merril. Other
highlights were playing 'Lord Arthur" for Sam Raimi in "Army of
Darkness" the final film in the cultish Evil Dead trilogy. Also
enjoyable was playing the cold blooded English bounty hunter "Mr
Dunne" opposite Robert Urich in the" Lazarus Man" series. Other
killers included the unfortunately named Colin Biddle in "Murder
she Wrote".. More recent T.V work in England included "Jonathan
Creek" ".Doctors". You may also recognize Marcus from the popular
"Gold Blend" series of ads. Most recently he filmed a cameo in
the forthcoming film "Freebird" from the makers of Layer Cake.
The last theatre outing was playing "Lord Goring" in a national
tour of "An Ideal Husband" Marcus wanted to take a little more
control, so in the last year formed "Touch the sky Productions"
which specializes in Adventure films/documentary's. The last film
successfully followed a group of climbers to the summit of Mount
Kilimanjaro - in July it's off to the high Andes in Peru. Please
enjoy what follows!
